He began his career in secondary investing in 2004 at Nikko Ant Factory Co., Ltd. (now Ant Capital Partners Co., Ltd.), in the Secondary Investment Group (now the Solution Investment Group). He served as an investment professional on one of Japan’s first full-scale funds focused on direct secondaries and fund secondaries. Through domestic and international VC fund secondaries as well as direct secondary transactions, he has supported portfolio companies with cap table restructurings and shareholder transitions.
He later led small buyout investments primarily for business succession, driving value creation through MBOs and MEBOs, supporting international expansion, and recruiting key management talent. He has completed investments in 30+ companies.
